Karnataka state unit of Akhila Bharathi Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has slammed the state government for its inefficiency to supply text books for PU students in the state and has cautioned of stringent actions if the demands are not met immediately.
“Ist and IInd PU classes for the academic year 2014-15 have already commenced. About 9 lac students in the state have been pursuing PU education. In view of this, approximately 45 lac text books must have been available in the market. However, due to the negligence of the government, books are not yet made available. This has created chaos among students as well as lecturers. ABVP takes up this issue seriously and demands the state government to sanction the books at the earliest,” stated ABVP during the protest.
