Our workers silently protest 'police brutality' in Indore

Raising voice against the alleged police brutality, a large number of Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members on Wednesday staged a silent protest in front of Bhanwarkua police station in the city. Our members demanded immediate action against Bhanwarkua police station in-charge Pradeep Singh Ranawat and Sarafa city superintendent of police Aditya Pratap Singh after nearly a dozen of their friends were injured in Monday’s cane-charge. In the morning, a large number of activists, covering their mouths in black strap, gathered at the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya (DAVV) teaching department’s gate They moved towards Bhanwarkua taking out a rally amidst slogans against 'police brutality' and their arrest in an alleged unlawful manner. On Tuesday, a delegation, led by state organising secretary Vijay Atwal, had met state home minister Babulal Gaur and demanded action against police personnel. The activists had also staged a protest at the DIG office in Indore and submitted a memorandum to DIG Rakesh Gupta.
