ABVP and Junge Union Host India-Germany Youth Dialogue in Bengaluru, Facilitated by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Germany’s Junge Union (JU), the youth wing of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), conducted a significant cross-cultural exchange through the India-Germany Youth Dialogue in Bengaluru, facilitated by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) India Director, Dr. Adrian Haack. This event highlighted shared youth interests in policy advocacy, education, and technology, strengthening Indo-German cooperation on issues that shape both societies.
The dialogue featured a closed-door session with ABVP and JU youth leaders, followed by an open panel discussion with Bengaluru’s young audience, where both groups addressed pressing global challenges and explored collaborative opportunities. The Indian delegation was led by Shri Ashish Chauhan, National Organising Secretary, ABVP, joined by Dr. Yagyawalkya Shukla, National General Secretary, and office bearers of ABVP. Ms. Karoline Sophie Czychon, State Chairwoman of Junge Union Niedersachsen, led the German side, joined by JU delegates Ms. Anna Catherina Frohn, Ms. Henrike-Catherine Börstling, Mr. Christian Fühner, MLA, and Mr. Johannes Van Wieren.
ABVP presented India’s perspective on topics like academics, security, and technology’s role in youth-led progress, while JU highlighted Germany's approach to these issues and India’s potential role in European and West Asian security. Both sides expressed a strong commitment to ongoing dialogue and cooperation, emphasizing youth as drivers of positive change and international partnership.
