Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) submitted a memorandum of suggestions to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to better combat the second wave of Covid-19. ABVP has addressed various issues related to education and youth in this letter, so that efforts to bring normalcy and to ease the difficulties of people can be expedited.
ABVP urged the PM to engage the 8 lakh practitioners of BAMS and BHMS under the AYUSH Ministry, 2 lakh recently graduated students of these fields, final year students of MBBS, BSc Nursing and Paramedical should be immediately attached with medical services to provide for the lack of healthcare workers in hospitals. Vaccination centres be started in Colleges and Universities for next three months with institute heads managing them.
Alongside, ABVP demanded that given the severity of situation, all national level examinations should be postponed till June. Considering the situation, the Pandemic has posed, a high-level committee should be formed to assess the quality of education and address the issues that academic world is facing.
For this year, semester system should be converted into annual system, Aanganbadi Centres operated by Women and Children development ministry should be opened according to the student numbers. Those centres where the number is below 20 can be opened immediately. Since Mid-day meal scheme is not functioning, the money should be given to students in the form of scholarship.
ABVP National General Secretary, Sushri Nidhi Tripathi said, "Second wave of Covid-19 has affected Health and Education sector like the first wave. After extensive dialogues with students and teachers we have sent 19 suggestions regarding education, health and competitive exams to Prime Minister. We hope Union Government will consider these suggestions and implement these for the relief of our student and medical fraternity."

अभाविप ने प्रधानमंत्री को कोरोना की द्वितीय लहर के नियंत्रण हेतु छात्र-युवा समुदाय के सुझावों का पत्र भेजा
अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद ने प्रधानमंत्री को कोरोना की द्वितीय लहर के नियंत्रण हेतु छात्रों तथा युवाओं के सुझावों का पत्र प्रेषित किया है। इस पत्र के माध्यम से कोरोना के कारण प्रभावित शिक्षा क्षेत्र सहित युवाओं से जुड़े विभिन्न विषयों पर अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद ने प्रधानमंत्री को सुझाव दिए हैं, जिससे कोरोना के कारण उत्पन्न हुई अभूतपूर्व संकटकालीन स्थिति में सुधार की संभावनाओं पर तेजी से कार्य किया जा सके।
सुझाव पत्र में अभाविप ने स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में आयुष विभाग के अंतर्गत आने वाल BAMS, BHMS सहित सभी विधाओं के कुल 8 लाख चिकित्सक एवं इसी वर्ष उत्तीर्ण हए 2 लाख विद्यार्थी एवं प्रशिक्षुओं को कोरोना संबंधित सेवाओं में लगाने, एम.बी.बी.एस., बी.एस.सी. नर्सिंग, पैरामेडिकल के अंतिम वर्ष के विद्यार्थियों को चिकित्सा सेवाओं में संलग्न करने, आगामी तीन माह में विश्वविद्यालय एवं महाविद्यालय में स्थानीय प्रबंधन की व्यवस्था के साथ टीकाकरण केंद्र खोलने आदि सुझाव प्रमुख रूप से दिए गए हैं।
साथ ही पत्र में कोरोना की विषम परिस्थिति के दौरान राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर आयोजित होने हेतु प्रस्तावित प्रमुख सभी परीक्षाओं को जून तक स्थगित करने, गत एकाधिक वर्ष में कोरोना की महामारी के कारण उत्पन्न हुई परिस्थिति को ध्यान में रखते हुए शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता का आंकलन करने एवं शिक्षा जगत से संबंधित समस्याओं के निराकरण हेतु प्राथमिक एवं उच्च शिक्षा विभाग में उच्च स्तरीय समिति का गठन कर, इसी वर्ष 2021 के शैक्षणिक सत्र में सेमेस्टर प्रणाली को बदलकर वार्षिक परीक्षा प्रणाली लागू किए जाने, महिला एवं बाल विकास द्वारा संचालित आंगनबाड़ी केंद्रों को संख्या के अनुपात में खोलने, जिन केंद्रों में विद्यार्थियों की संख्या 20 से कम है उन्हें तुरंत प्रभाव से खोलने, मिड-डे मील योजना कोरोना के कारण बंद है अतः इस योजना का लाभ विद्यार्थियों को छात्रवृत्ति के रूप में दिए जाने आदि सुझाव भी दिए गए हैं।
अभाविप की राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री सुश्री निधि त्रिपाठी ने कहा “कोरोना की द्वितीय लहर ने शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र को बुरी तरह प्रभावित किया है। विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकों से संवाद के बाद हमने शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य एवं प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं को लेकर 19 सुझाव प्रधानमंत्री जी को भेजे हैं। आशा है भारत सरकार सुझावों पर विचार करके उनका क्रियान्वयन करेगी जिससे विद्यार्थी समुदाय एवं कोरोना के विरुद्ध महान प्रयासों में संलग्न चिकित्सकों को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी।”
