Conduct of examinations for the final year students a crucial step: ABVP
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad welcomes the decision of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to conduct examinations for the final year students. ABVP also appreciates the Ministry’s decision of increasing the number of centers for the Board examinations as well as allowing the students to appear for their pending Board examinations in their home district itself.
A number of universities in the country do not have any internal assessment mechanism. Guidelines that serve to clarify the methods to be adopted for holding examinations therein and promoting the students to the next academic term should be issued without any delay to assuage the concerns of the student community.
Nidhi Tripathi, National General Secretary, ABVP, said, “Wherever it is possible and expedient to do so, exams must be held. We believe that the government will adopt inclusive measures as well as take farsighted decisions to comprehensively address the issues related to the education sector.”
