Students should get relaxation in fees: ABVP
ABVP writes to the Minister of Human Resource Development, raises demands pertaining to examinations, fees, and fellowship

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has written a letter to the Minister of Human Resource Development Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' apprising him of the issues being faced by the student community in these times and suggesting solutions to remedy them. ABVP called the decision to conduct evaluation or examination of final year students as a necessary step, and suggested an online-offline hybrid mode for the assessment. It has also been suggested that in regions devoid of internet connectivity, exams can be conducted by sending question papers by post or by conducting regular examinations with proper social distancing and hygiene protocols enforced.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also brought to the ministry's notice the financial distress that the student community is under due to the pandemic and suggested that the issue be looked at from an empathetic perspective, with relaxation in the submission of fees being provided. The students have been away from their institutes since March; hence exemption must be provided from hostel rent, electricity charge, water charges, sports charges, etc. ABVP also demands that an option of payment of fees in instalments be provided to the guardians.
