(A Joint endeavour of Vidyarthi Nidhi Trust and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad)

 

This Yuva Puraskar has been instituted in 1991 to commemorate the inspiring life of Prof. Yeshwantrao Kelkar who inspired thousands of students and youth for undertaking social work as a “Jeevan Drishti (Vision of Life)”.

The award is given in the memory of Professor Yeshwantrao Kelkar, who is one of the key architects in shaping the world's largest student organization, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and had over the years contributed immensely towards the expansion and consolidation of the organisation and towards the development of the strong fundamentals of the organisation.

 The primary objective of “Prof. Yeshwantrao Kelkar Yuva Puraskar” is to encourage the efforts of young social workers in various fields of public service, acknowledge and respect their good work and express gratitude towards them on behalf of the entire youth community. Also to motivate the students to draw inspiration from the awardees and to motivate them to start service to the society.

Individuals doing outstanding social work either alone or in the organisations in various fields of society like health, education, environment, science and technology and many more, can apply for this award.

 

Important Information

1. Prof. Yeshwantrao Kelkar Youth Award 2021 will be given in the National Conference of ABVP to be held at Jabalpur (Mahakaushal) from 24th to 26th December 2021

2. Final Selection will be done by the screening committee.

3. Cash Prize of Rs.1 Lakh, Memento & Certificate will be awarded.

 

Rules and Regulations

1. Complete bio-data of the applicant is required.

2. The person should be a living person and below the age of 40 years as on 31st December 2021.

3. Three copies of a passport-sized recent photograph is required.

4. Detailed description of work:

         (i)  Area and theme of the work

         (ii) Method and Details of the work

         (iii) colleague or partner if any

         (iv) Beneficiaries and impact on society

         (v) achievement of the work

         (vi)  award and felicitations received by the government or other organisations

         (vii) send relevant photographs, press clippings, certificates and other documents

5. Last date for submission of Nomination: 15 November 2021
