ABVP absolutely condemns Senior Advocate Indira Jaising's statement urging Nirbhaya's mother to forgive those convicted for Nirbhaya's brutal rape and murder. For all intents and purposes, this implies a direct encouragement to extremely horrific crimes.
It must be restated that the brutal episode of Nirbhaya's rape and murder had sent the nation into a state of hopelessness, with the people demanding capital punishment for the accused.
