लावण्या को न्याय की माँग करती अभाविप की राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री को तमिलनाडु पुलिस ने किया गिरफ़्तार
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने लावण्या आत्महत्या मामले में न्याय हेतु लड़ने वाले देश के युवाओं की सुनी है गुहार: ABVP
तमिलनाडु के तंजावुर जिले के सेक्रेड हाई स्कूल में मतांतरण के दबाव के कारण आत्महत्या को मजबूर होने वाली छात्रा, लावण्या को न्याय दिलाने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री स्टालिन के घर के बाहर प्रदर्शन कर रहे अभाविप के कार्यकर्ताओं से पुलिस ने बर्बरतापूर्ण व्यवहार करते हुए अभाविप की राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री सुश्री निधि त्रिपाठी, राष्ट्रीय मंत्री श्री मुथु रामलिंगम, दक्षिण तमिलनाडु प्रांत मंत्री सुशीला सहित कई अन्य कार्यकर्ताओं को गिरफ़्तार किया है।
लावण्या आत्महत्या मामले में राज्य सरकार की असंवेदनशीलता इस बात से प्रदर्शित होती है कि सरकार मद्रास उच्च न्यायालय के सीबीआई जांच के आदेश के ख़िलाफ़ सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में अर्ज़ी लगाने पहुँच गई थी। परंतु सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने याचिका को खारिज़ करते हुए और उच्च न्यायालय के फ़ैसले को मान्य रखते हुए, मामला सीबीआई को सौंपने का आदेश दिया। जिससे लावण्या को न्याय मिले यह माँग हेतु संघर्षरत युवाओं को अब न्याय की आस जगी है।
अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद के राष्ट्रीय मंत्री श्री गजेन्द्र तोमर ने कहा, "तमिलनाडु सरकार तथा प्रशासन, लावण्या की आत्महत्या के मामले को दबाने के लिए सारे संभव हथकंडे अपना रहे हैं परंतु अभाविप का प्रत्येक कार्यकर्ता लावण्या को न्याय मिलने तक संघर्षरत रहने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। अपनी गलती और मिशनरियों के दुष्कर्म को छिपाने के लिए राज्य सरकार माननीय उच्च न्यायालय के आदेश की भी अवहेलना करने से नहीं चूक रही है। हम लावण्या को न्याय मिलने तक लड़ते रहेंगे”
कु. प्रेरणा पवार, अभाविप राष्ट्रीय मंत्री ने कहा, “तमिलनाडु सरकार ने बर्बरता की हदों को पार कर दिया है। सरकार लावण्या की आवाज़ को दबाने का हर सम्भव प्रयास कर रही है परंतु अभाविप लावण्या की लड़ाई को लड़ने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। हम मतांतरण को रोकने के लिए क़ानून बनाने के लिए भी सरकार से आग्रह करेंगें ताकि पुनः किसी भी विद्यार्थी को ऐसे वीभत्स और दुर्दांत कृत्य का सामना न करना पड़े।"

While demanding Justice for Lavanya ABVP National General Secretary arrested in Chennai
Plea of youth fighting for Lavanya heard by Hon’ble Supreme Court
ABVP karyakartas who were peacefully protesting in front of Cheif Minister Stalin's house for seeking justice for Lavanya, a student who was forced to commit suicide due to conversion pressure at Sacred High School in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu, were treated brutally by the police and the National General Secretary of ABVP Nidhi Tripathi, National Secretary Muthu Ramalingam along with scores of karyakartas were arrested.
The insensitivity of the state government in the matter is demonstrated by the fact that the government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the order of the CBI inquiry by the Madras High Court. But the Supreme Court, while dismissing the petition and upholding the High Court's decision, ordered the case to be handed over to the CBI. This has given hope to the youth fighting for justice for Lavanya.
The National Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Gajendra Tomar said, "The Tamil Nadu government and administration are doing everything they can to suppress the case of Lavanya's suicide but every ABVP worker is also committed to fighting till Lavanya gets justice. The State Government, to hide its mistake and misdeeds of missionaries, did not fail to disobey the order of the Hon'ble High Court.
ABVP National Secretary Prerna Pawar said, “Tamil Nadu government has crossed all limits of barbarism. The government is desperately trying to suppress the voices demanding justice for Lavanya but ABVP is committed to fighting for the cause. We will continue to fight till Lavanya gets justice and will request the government to make a law against forceful conversion and ensure that no student has to face such a heinous and dastardly act."
