सेना में भर्ती के लिए परीक्षार्थियों की आयु में अतिरिक्त छूट प्रदान की जाए: अभाविप
अभाविप ने रक्षा मंत्री को लिखा पत्र
अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद सेना में भर्ती होने वाले परीक्षार्थियों की आयु में 1 वर्ष की छूट प्रदान करने की मांग करती है। विदित है कि कोरोना जनित परिस्थितियों के कारण जहां जन-जीवन अस्त व्यस्त हुआ था, वहीं दूसरी तरफ भर्ती प्रक्रिया नियमित अंतराल में आयोजित नहीं हो पायी। कोविड-19 के कारण प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्रों में फंसे परीक्षार्थी भर्ती परीक्षाओं में सम्मिलित होने से चूक गये। ऐसे अप्रत्याशित रूप से परीक्षा से वंचित रह जाने के कारण कड़ा परिश्रम कर रहे परीक्षार्थियों का सेना में सम्मिलित हो कर भारत माता की सेवा करने का स्वप्न पूर्ण नहीं हो पा रहा है। परीक्षार्थियों के साथ न्याय हो इसलिये उन्हें 1 अतिरिक्त प्रयास मिलना चाहिये।
अभाविप के राष्ट्रीय मंत्री गजेंद्र तोमर ने कहा कि, “सेना में भर्ती होकर देश की रक्षा करनेSS का जुनून भारत के युवाओं में बचपन से रहता है। पिछले वर्षों में कोरोना के कारण परीक्षाओं का नियमित आयोजन नहीं हो पाया और परीक्षार्थी भी स्वास्थ समस्याओं के कारण परीक्षा में सम्मिलित नहीं हो पाये। इसको ध्यान रखते हुए परीक्षार्थियों को एक अवसर दिया जाना चाहिये।”
अभाविप की राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री सुश्री निधि त्रिपाठी ने कहा कि, “परीक्षा देने से वंचित रह गये विद्यार्थियों के हित को ध्यान रखते हुये अभाविप माननीय रक्षा मंत्री से यह मांग करती है कि भारतीय सेना में सभी तरह की भर्ती प्रक्रियाओं के लिए अभ्यर्थियों को एक वर्ष की आयु संबंधी छूट प्रदान की जाए, ताकि कोरोना जनित परिस्थितियों में अपने अंतिम अवसर से चूक गए अभ्यर्थी अपने अंतिम प्रयास में सोत्साह सम्मिलित हो सकें।”

Relax age criteria for armed forces recruitment by a year owing to COVID-19: ABVP
ABVP writes to the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad demands relaxation of a year in the age of candidates aspiring to be recruited in the Indian armed forces. While public life was disturbed due to COVID-19 circumstances, the recruitment process on the other hand could not be undertaken at regular intervals. Candidates living in containment zones could not participate in the recruitment examinations. Facing deprivation in undertaking examination due to the unforeseen situation, dream of the hard-working candidates to join armed forces and serve Bharat Mata remains unfulfilled. Therefore, in order to serve justice to the examinees, they must be provided with an extra attempt.
National Secretary of ABVP Shri Gajendra Tomar said, “Since their childhood, the youth of India is passionate about serving and protecting the country by joining the armed forces. In the previous years, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the examinations could not be conducted regularly and the candidates also could not appear in the examination owing to health issues. Bearing this in mind, an additional opportunity must be given to the examinees."
National General Secretary of ABVP Sushri Nidhi Tripathi said, "Keeping in mind the interest of the students who had been deprived of the examination, ABVP requests the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri to provide one year of age relaxation to candidates in all types of recruitment processes in the Indian armed forces. This would enable the candidates who had missed their last chance in the COVID-19 situation, to participate enthusiastically in their last attempt."
